    Overview of research:
USP10 is a member of the ubiquitin specific peptidase family that we identified as a HTLV-I Tax interacting protein. USP10 is involved in many cellular stress responses such as DNA damage response, stress granules formation, and the regulation of metabolic pathway. We made USP10 KO mice and they show severe anemia due to the loss of hematopoietic stem cells. Thus, USP10 is an essential ubiquitinase for hematopoiesis.
