    Overview of research:
    Gene 33 (also known as RALT) is considered as a negative feedback regulator that can be induced by a vriety of external stimuli, including oxidative stress and vasoactive peptides. I am primarily interested in understanding at the molecular level the functional roles of gene33 in cardiovascular disease.Seeking potential theraputic targets for cardiovascular desease, my research particularly focuses on following two themes using neonatal rat cardiac myocytes and H9c2 cell line : identification of signaling molecules downstream of gene 33, and analysis of its transcriptional regulation.
