Overview of research:

Main research topic is Japanese speakers' pronunciation of English. How phonology (what is in the mind of speakers) and phonetics (mostly the gestural movement of articulators) of L1 (here, Japanese) influence the pronunciation of Japanese speakers of English is studied.
