Research

    Overview of research:
    Clinical objective test to evaluate olfactory function has not been established. We have created an in vivo imaging system using nasal administration of 201Tl and imaging with a gamma camera and radiography (201Tl olfacto-scintigraphy) to visualize the regeneration of olfactory nerves in rodents. in rats. Nasal administration of 201TlCl solution has the potential to be used clinically for the objective assessment of damage to olfactory nerves.
